Upon waking up, Mario goes down stairs to see Gaz telling his Mom about Geno going into the forest. Mario and Co. go after him. When reaching Forest Maze they see Geno but lose him soon after. But they reach Bowyer, the monster responsible for shooting the arrows. After the battle Geno explains everything about him and the Star Pieces. Mario and Co. gain Geno and the second Star Piece.
