The development of the Zoo's new gorilla troop has had its ups and downs in the past few months. But Motuba, Kira, and Honi seem to have settled into a routine in which they can coexist without occasional battles that result in battle scars. In this video, you can see Kira as she searched for treats then stared at Motuba for a long time when he woke up from his nap. At no point did Kira back down. And finally, Motuba moved around her to another area where he found food to nibble on. Meanwhile, Honi (not shown in this video) was relaxing and waiting for the keeper to bring treats in another area of the exhibit.
