Meet Molly Nocheck, one of the organizers of the FIRE Student Network Conference.

Molly is a program officer for campus outreach at FIRE. In this video, she explains her role at FIRE and how she initially got involved. 

Molly was first introduced to FIRE while she was a member of Students Defending Students (SDS) at Ohio University. She found that, like SDS, FIRE worked to make sure that student rights were being honored on campus.

At FIRE, Molly connects students with resources and manages the FIRE Student Network—a coalition of students and faculty members from across the country who agree with FIRE’s mission and wish to promote free speech on campus. 

Molly also provides students with information on how they can make a change at their school. She advises that students create a conversation on campus about their school’s policies and speech codes—and, of course, contact FIRE.
