Strike a pose in front of the world-famous “Kiss” by Gustav Klimt, click, check photo, delete, click again, check photo, filter over, add hashtag and share. 

While on the hunt for the perfect holiday photo and as many likes as possible, many holidaymakers often forget their surroundings instead of enjoying that special moment.
Based on this, the Vienna Tourist Board, in collaboration with the Belvedere Gallery, launched a provocative campaign: a replica of Gustav Klimt’s “The Kiss” was made and covered with a huge, red hashtag sticker. The original, without a hashtag, could be seen in the next room and admired without the hashtag:

See Klimt. Not #Klimt
The attached hashtag is neither in the interest of the artist nor the viewer. It is rather a call for a
digital detox. Because what’s the point in having beautiful pictures and other people’s likes, if we are not able to enjoy the best moments and greatest artworks ourselves anymore?
