Some animal-rights people have expressed concern that elephants in zoos in northern climates spend the entire winter inside. But, as you can see in this video, the Philadelphia Zoo elephants are hardy, healthy creatures who enjoy being outside, even on a very cold day in January. Wildlife IS adaptable!
