Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Monday said it is "nice" to see that Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Urjit Patel is "finally defending the RBI" from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said even though this is late, but it is still a positive. "Better late than never," Rahul said in a tweet. Rahul Gandhi's tweet comes at a time when there are murmurs that relations between the RBI governor and the central government are not in the pink of health. Patel is said to be unhappy with the Modi government's interference in RBI's independence.
