Government institutions and Government departments themselves seems to be responsible for effecting the balance sheet of Electricity Department. According to information from Electricity department the outstanding of these government institutions and department is around ₹ 52 Cr. There have been reports about around lakh faulty meters in commercial and domestic consumers. Though, Power Department has finalised agency for replacement of these faulty meters, this process will involve expense of another ₹ 48 Cr.
