The power moonroof can either tilt up and down or slide open and closed using this two-function switch. The ignition must be ON to operate.

To slide the moonroof fully open, push THIS switch. To fully close, push the other end of the switch. To partially open or close, push the switch in any direction while the moonroof is moving to stop it in that position. The sunshade will open automatically when the moonroof is opened. However, it must be closed manually.

To operate the tilt functions on the moonroof, first make sure the moonroof is fully closed. To tilt the moonroof up, push THIS switch. To tilt the moonroof down, push the other end of the switch.

If you’ve turned the ignition OFF and notice the moonroof is open, you still have a period of time in which to close it. However, if either front door is opened during that period, power to the moonroof is cancelled.

If the moonroof does not operate properly, perform the following procedure to initialize the moonroof:
1. Place the ignition in the ON position.
2. If the moonroof is open, close it fully by repeatedly pushing the CLOSE side of the moonroof switch.
3. Push and hold the CLOSE side of the moonroof switch.
 

4. Release the moonroof switch after the moonroof moves slightly up and down.
5. Push and hold the OPEN side of the moonroof switch to fully tilt the moonroof down.
6. Check to see if the moonroof operates properly. Initialization is complete if the moonroof operates properly.
If the moonroof still does not operate correctly, it is recommended you visit a Nissan dealer.
