This video presents the Country Statement to the 34th Session of the FAO Asia Pacific Regional Conference (APRC 34, 9-13 April 2018, Fiji) by the Viet Nam Head of Delegation, Chuong Van Chu. Agricultural development and food security is vital to development. The SDGs aim at reducing poverty and ending hunger by 2030. These are key priorities also of the government of Viet Nam and so Viet Nam is working on post-harvest losses, food waste and climate change issues. The government is working on green growth in which the main solutions are to promote technological solutions and to increase value chains. The Country programming framework between Viet Nam and FAO defined four priorities” increase food security; sustainable development of agricultural sectors; new rural development; enhancing resilience to disasters and threats.
