THE GRINCH REVIEW This is not the best Christmas movie I've seen but I would not say it's the worst one either. The grinch is the new illumination film and tells us the story as well as the grinch. If you already know the story or have seen the previous movie you will know what this new version is about: the grinch hates Christmas and plans to steal it by posing as Santa Claus and in the end a girl makes him change his mind and ends up accepting Christmas in his heart. Honestly, the previous version, although it caused me nightmares, it was not so good. This new movie is not so bad. The designs of characters and settings are visually appealing and the character of the grinch seemed nice and with a design more similar to the original which gave me more confidence because the previous design I found very gloomy as the cat in the hat. I really do not have much to talk about about this movie. It is a Christmas film for the whole family and has a quality animation but if we are sincere, people will always prefer the previous version because it is what many grew up with and I do not think that the animated version causes the same impact as the live action version. It's as if Disney wants to make a live action version of The nightmare before Christmas: people simply will not accept it because we all already have in our hearts the original Jack with the design of Mr. Tim Burton. Before the film there is a small short film of the minions, very funny, very well animated and that made me laugh a lot. In summary, the grinch (2018) is not bad but being realistic, it is not the super production that will last in the memory of all. The grinch of live action has been maintained by its dark and sinister tone but people like it because of the performances, the locations or the design of characters. This new film feels like a movie more than illumination which is not bad but from time to time it is okay to make some changes in styles and in the depth of the stories. is not a bad movie...is a ok movie.
