There's no question that Saddam Hussein was a brutal dictator, so why then is our government using his government's standards when it comes to acceptable levels of mercury?  The truth is that our government has done very little research into the effects of mercury poisoning, and they've done even less in regards to what constitutes a safe level of mercury in consumer products.
