Well everone, Death has been a major issue for us this week. Jay lost a friend and coworker..Marla Denzer, who committed suicide earlier in the week. It was known what Marla was going through and her pain was evident but she refused to talk about it with anybody. It's so hard to see someone hurt so much and not be able to help and it hurts even worse when they take their lives and you are left standing and wondering what you could have done to stop it. In addition we read about the stories of Ayub and Mosleh in Iran and it deeply saddened us. The two young men had been arrested for filming themselves having sex on a cell phone and subsequently sentenced to death by stoning. It is hard to know that as we live our lives, people are dying. You want to do something to stop it. You wish the world would stand up and condemn it..but they don't and you feel powerless to help them. So we have chosen to honor them in our own way tonight. We hope you will remember them too. http://gayfamilyvalues.blogspot.com/2011/01/iranian-gay-men-to-be-stoned-tomorrow.html
