The NBA 2K League (NBA2KL) is an eSports league between the National Basketball Association and NBA 2K. The league was announced on February 9, 2017. On May 4, 2017 it was revealed that 17 of the 30 NBA teams would own their own NBA 2K League team during the inaugural season in 2018. On April 18, 2018, the NBA 2K League and Twitch announced a multiyear partnership to live stream all games. The inaugural season began on May 1, 2018.
