Acoustic Guitar version of God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen Christmas Song. Guitar Chords and lead, along with midi guitar synth version of the Christmas song. hello everyone I know it's been a while since I posted a little too long actually we've been busy around here we were concerned that we would actually lose the studio at one point so we had to work really hard to keep it which we have and so that's good news and there was also a lot of family things to take care of but we have been busy with music as well I've been playing some open mics here around town with the professor on cello with me and it's been fun and then we've also posted some instagrams from time to time on our Instagram channel of some of the updates here around the studio so I have something cool to show you today this is a guitar mod that I have done and I'll show you more about it in just a minute let's uh let's hear it first okay I am gonna call him one of my clones for this one hey good to see you again man Oh likewise you ready to do this yes one two three [Music] [Applause] Oh [Music] [Music] I hope you enjoyed that what I've done here is put a Fender Texas lead pickup in the bridge position and then wired that in series along with a piezo pickup right here around the pickguard hot glued inside of it okay and then I wired those in series to two potentiometers here and so I can control the volume of each individual pickup to get exactly the controlled sound that I wanted to and so when you have just this on in just a little bit of the piezo pickup here you can almost get like a cheap Gibson sound out of it and then when you want a lot more string attacks and strumming you can of course pull up the piezo and balance this and what what the bridge pickup does is give you a lot more lower tones and almost like controlled electric guitar tones it really when you when you play the guitar with just this on and the other pickup completely off it's almost like a cheap hollow body sound to it it's really interesting so I've now got this very controllable sound on a very cheap generic acoustic guitar that I've had for over a decade now I think it's been to the beach it's been a home for mice for a while but mmm while it was still being used but but it's cool doing this mod for it and in getting the different tones out of it and everything so you can do something like this as well now the second time plays through the guitar sounds that you are hearing we're actually not guitar sounds those were synth instruments being triggered by MIDI guitar so once you have these pickups in here then it's going to respond a lot better than an internal microphone or something like that so then you can use an acoustic guitar with your MIDI 2 guitar conversion whatever you're doing using software or such so there was no special pickup on here to get it to go to MIDI it was just the software that I was running in the background with it so I hope you enjoyed the song I hope you enjoyed this video and I'll see you again soon I promise it won't be this long between videos again Merry Christmas everybody happy holidays see you again [Music] Lyrics God rest ye merry gentlemen Let nothing you dismay Remember Christ our Savior Was born on Christmas Day To save us all from Satan's pow'r When we were gone astray Oh tidings of comfort and joy Comfort and joy Oh tidings of comfort and joy God rest ye merry gentlemen Let nothing you dismay Remember Christ our Savior Was born on Christmas Day To save us all from Satan's pow'r When we were gone astray Oh tidings of comfort and joy Comfort and joy Oh tidings of comfort and joy In Bethlehem, in Israel This blessed Babe was born And laid within a manger Upon this blessed morn The which His Mother Mary Did nothing take in scorn Oh tidings of comfort and joy Comfort and joy Oh tidings of comfort and joy Fear not then, said the Angel Let nothing you affright This day is born a Savior Of a pure Virgin bright To free all those who trust in Him From Satan's pow'r and might Oh tidings of comfort and joy Comfort and joy Oh tidings of comfort and joy God rest ye merry gentlemen Let nothing you dismay Remember Christ our Savior Was born on Christmas Day To save us all from Satan's pow'r When we were gone astray Oh tidings of comfort and joy Comfort and joy Oh tidings of comfort and joy
