Def Jam recording artist & OTF/Coke Boys star Lil Durk has been released on bond just a week after his arrest for possessing a firearm as a felon. Initial reports claimed he was being held without bond. He posted a video to his Instagram to let his supporters know the situation has changed somehow and he is once again a free man.

He was arrested early Wednesday morning after police entered a residence in a southwest suburb of Chicago where he was allegedly staying. This new charge of felon possession of a firearm occurred during the period of the 18 month probation he was sentenced to back in August. 

Durk was quoted on the police report of the recent arrest as saying: "I got those pipes (guns) 'cause (expletive) always be tryin' to take my bands (money)".
