With only 30 days left on his life support system, his only hope for recovering the parts lies in the hands of the multi-coloured, multi-talented "Pikmin": A species capable of great feats, but in desperate need of a leader to rally around - one who can teach them to defend themselves. And thus, a mutual partnership is formed. With the Pikmin following his lead, Olimar sets off to recover the parts needed to repair his ship and leave the planet, hoping desperately to complete his task before his time is up.
