Parents arrested after overdosing in the middle of the road with three children in the backseat

Two parents are behind bars after they had to be revived after they overdosed in their vehicle while their children were in the back seat. A passerby is credited with saving the couple's lives after they came across the car stopped in the middle of State Road 18 near Carroll County. The couple's 11, 6 and 4-year-old children were sitting in the back seat of the vehicle. The responding officers administered Narcan to the two adults and they were revived before emergency crews arrived. Deputies say Adam Smith, 31, and his wife, Donnis, 29, were treated at the hospital and then arrested. the couple are facing multiple charges including neglect of a dependent.
