A visit to the Great Central Railway for their Autumn Steam Gala on Saturday 8th October. The theme of the gala was that of the Somerset & Dorest Joint Railway, so plenty of Southern & Midland traction in operation, as well as some Eastern and a bit of Western. The line of locos consisted of nine locos, seven from the home fleet and two visiting locos.

From the home fleet:

 - SR N15 'King Arthur' Class 4-6-0 no.30777 'Sir Lamiel'
 - GWR 4900 'Hall' Class 4-6-0 no.4953 'Pitchford Hall'
 - GCR 8K/LNER O4 Class 2-8-0 no.63601
 - GNR N2 Class 0-6-2T no.1744
 - LMS Class 3F 'Jinty' 0-6-0T no.47406
 - LMS Class 8F 2-8-0 no.8624
 - BR Standard Class 2MT 2-6-0 no.78019

Visiting: 

 - SR 'West Country' Class 4-6-2 no.34007 'Wadebridge' (Visiting from the Mid Hants Railway, she is also the first 'Spam Can' to run on the line in 18 years)
 - S&DJR 7F Class 2-8-0 no.88 (Visiting from the West Somerset Railway)

Kinchley Lane:

 - 78019 heading south with the local passenger train.
 - 34007 returning the TPO stock to Loughborough.
 - 30777 heading south with a passenger train, giving off a nice whistle too, not long after 88 is seen heading the other way.
 - 63601 heading south the 'Windcutters' mineral train.
 - 47406 taking the local back to Loughborough.
 - 34007 heading south after hauling the TPO.
 - 78019 returning with the 'Windcutters'
 - 63601 heading north with the TPO stock passing 8624 heading south on a passenger working.

Swithland Viaduct:

 - 34007 heading north with the local set.
 - 8624 heading north with a passenger working (Rain had now gotten on the lens so apologies if the picture looks a bit soft).
 - 4953 running back to back with 63601 heading south.

Rothley:

 - 30777 arriving in the rain after hauling the TPO.
