Special guest Kyle Kipp joins us in the Drumpop Studio in Canton, Michigan for a live studio broadcast performing Folsom Prison Blues by Johnny Cash . I use this as a lesson how to mix for live streaming music performances with Pro Tools DAW as well as comparing the Sennheiser MD421 vs EV 635A on the Fender Deluxe guitar amp . We also compare the vocal mics of Shure SM58 vs a condenser mic the CAD Equitek . The Ludwig Classic Maple drums were miced using the Shure SM81 for overhead , Shure SM57 on the snare , and Sennheiser 421 on bass drum , and CAD drum mics on the two toms . Stand-in bass player Chris was ran DI into the system . We will playback to contrast and compare the mics EQ and compression settings and how we approach the overall mix in Pro Tools .
