Migrant caravan streams into Mexican capital

(5 Nov 2018) Hundreds of migrants from the Central American caravan continued to stream in Mexico City on Monday, where officials tended to their needs at a sports stadium on the east end of the capital. The migrants have been arriving at the Mexican capital in small groups over Sunday and Monday. More than 500 migrants spent Sunday night on concrete benches and were served hot meals at Mexico's Magdalena Mixhuca Sports City complex. City officials said they are preparing to receive as many as 5,000 migrants by Wednesday. The caravan has been moving through Mexico since October 19, on a journey they hope will take them to the United States.
