My daily routine starts with waking up, washing up, and eating breakfast.

For breakfast I have a banana and some mixed nuts. I check the weather and radar to determine what to wear and which bike to ride.

If it will be hot I'll just wear my shorts, t shirt, fingerless gloves, cycling sandals, and a vented helmet.

If it will be cool I'll wear long pants, t shirt, full finger gloves, cycling shoes, and a vented helmet.

If it will be cold I'll wear long underwear, long pants, t shirt, jacket, lobster claw gloves, wool socks, cycling shoes with toe covers, and a helmet with ear covers.

If it will be dark I'll bring my clear glasses and a flashlight for my bike.

If it will be raining I'll ride my rain bike with full fenders and mud flaps. I just expect to get wet and keep a spare set of clothes at work. I try to ride between the heavy rain.

I carry my phone, keys, a credit card, drivers license ID, health insurance card, bandages, tissues, and a shower cap to cover my bicycle saddle outside in case it rains.

Then I navigate, negotiate and direct traffic on my bike commute to work.

Once I get to work I lock up my bike, wash up in the restroom, and take my bike stuff with me to my desk.

Bicycle commuting is a great way to start the day fresh and full of energy - much better than coffee and a bagel in my opinion.
