Manatee County crews scooped 34 cubic yards (approximately 30,000 pounds) of dead fish, mostly mullet, out of Robinson Preserve on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018. The fish died after a batch of red tide moved into the bayou on Tuesday, catching the winter-spawning mullet in the nature preserve's backwaters.
