The midday rush hour at Manchester comprises of a number of airlines, operating a range of aircraft to a variety of destinations across the world. Over the last decade Manchester has seen a big increase in the number of long haul destinations and carriers, including the introduction of Cathay Pacific, Hainan Airlines and an increase in Singapore Airlines operations over the past 5 years. This coupled with the increase in flights from Manchester based airlines such as Thomas Cook, TUI and Virgin, along with the US and middle east carriers. From 10am until 1pm there are numerous heavy departures, with the majority of westbound flights departing around this time.
