ਆਸਾ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ਤਿਪਦੇ ॥  

ਓਹਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਪਿਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥  ओहा प्रेम पिरी ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥  
I seek the Love of my Beloved. ||1||Pause||  
(ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤਾਂ) ਪਿਆਰੇ (ਪ੍ਰਭੂ) ਦਾ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਹੀ (ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ) ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ॥

ਕਨਿਕ ਮਾਣਿਕ ਗਜ ਮੋਤੀਅਨ ਲਾਲਨ ਨਹ ਨਾਹ ਨਹੀ ॥੧॥  
कनिक माणिक गज मोतीअन लालन नह नाह नही ॥१॥  

Gold, jewels, giant pearls and rubies - I have no need for them. ||1||  
(ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਦੇ ਟਾਕਰੇ ਤੇ) ਸੋਨਾ, ਮੋਤੀ, ਵੱਡੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਮੋਤੀ, ਹੀਰੇ-ਲਾਲ-ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਭੀ ਚੀਜ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ, ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ, ॥੧॥

ਰਾਜ ਨ ਭਾਗ ਨ ਹੁਕਮ ਨ ਸਾਦਨ ॥  राज न भाग न हुकम न सादन ॥  

Imperial power, fortunes, royal command and mansions -  
(ਪ੍ਰਭੂ-ਪਿਆਰ ਦੇ ਥਾਂ) ਨਾਹ ਰਾਜ, ਨਾਹ ਧਨ-ਪਦਾਰਥ, ਨਾਹ ਹੁਕੂਮਤ ਨਾਹ ਸੁਆਦਲੇ ਖਾਣੇ,

ਕਿਛੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਨ ਚਾਹੀ ॥੨॥  किछु किछु न चाही ॥२॥  

I have no desire for these. ||2||  
ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਚੀਜ਼ ਦੀ ਭੀ ਲੋੜ ਨਹੀਂ ॥੨॥

ਚਰਨਨ ਸਰਨਨ ਸੰਤਨ ਬੰਦਨ ॥  चरनन सरनन संतन बंदन ॥  

The Sanctuary of the Lord's Feet, and dedication to the Saints -  
ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਰਨ, ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਤੇ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ,

ਸੁਖੋ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਹੀ ॥  सुखो सुखु पाही ॥  

these bring me peace and pleasure.  
ਇਸ ਵਿਚ ਮੈਂ ਸੁਖ ਹੀ ਸੁਖ ਅਨੁਭਵ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।

ਨਾਨਕ ਤਪਤਿ ਹਰੀ ॥   नानक तपति हरी ॥  

O Nanak, my burning fire has been put out,  
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਹ ਮਨ ਵਿਚੋਂ ਤ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਾ ਦੀ ਸੜਨ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦੇਂਦਾ ਹੈ,

ਮਿਲੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਪਿਰੀ ॥੩॥੩॥੧੪੩॥   मिले प्रेम पिरी ॥३॥३॥१४३॥  
obtaining the Love of the Beloved. ||3||3||143||  
ਜੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਏ ॥੩॥੩॥੧੪੩॥
