Google surprised everyone at its I/O conference by giving out Cardboard, a cardboard-craft kit to make virtual reality goggles when paired with a Nexus 5 smartphone. We got our hands on a this experimental kit, assemble it, and test out Google's vision for low-cost VR. Hope this videofeaturing Google Cardboard helps to answer some of the common questions associated with the device. This cheap piece of cardboard is a huge development in the world of VR! Required Materials:
A piece of cardboard at least 22” (55.88cm) by 8.75” (22.23cm)
Two 2” (5.08cm) strips of 3/4” (1.91cm) wide Velcro
One 3/4” (1.91cm) neodymium ring magnet
One 3/4” ceramic disk magnet
