This is another addition to my historical series. I can date this one to late 1994 or early 1995. Yeh, the singing's not so great, but it was recorded in a Japanese apartment with not very thick walls. It's not easy trying to scream at low volume. Like my other songs from that time, I used my Tascam Porta One 4-track for recording. All things considered, it did a good job. The drums are from my Korg T2. Edit: I found most of the lyrics, and tried to fill in the rest. Pretty cynical stuff! Maybe things weren't going so good They could have been worse but I don't know how Once, another day was one too few Once, there were fairies, but not now But not all was lost, too much of a good thing, you know The fruit's eaten away but the core's still there You've gotta sit back, when a storm brewing Get outta its way cause its gonna tear It's not an entry in a dictionary defined in a literary work by master genius author dictating rules for amour No verse or chapter in holy book can tell you how it feels to love No behaviorologist can make you conform to a list of how to play romance, to lead or be led in the great dance Claims by altruists that only giving brings true bliss Utopianism never dies, it fills poor fools with profound lies at least, that's what I think Well love is this, love is that Well tell me where it says that's a fact Well love is this, love is that You show me where it says that's a fact Lazin' life is gathering a pound of fat on me I'ts settling in the place where my brains supposed to be The storm on the horizon gathers clouds like mad I've gotta heavy feeling that the weathers getting bad Where's the good life that this world's promised me Why am I sitting here pondering how it should be Spray it on, wash it off, a new tiger's hide The costume seems to fit, but I never stay inside Well love is this, well, love is that You show me where it says that's a fact Well love is this, love is that Tell me where it says that's a fact
