Q: What are the requirements when applying for the BC PNP under the Business Skills category?

A: If you're applying for the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program under the Business Skills category, you'll be required to: make a minimal personal investment of $400,000, purchase or establish an eligible business in the province, create at least 3 new jobs for Canadian citizens or permanent residents, own at least one third of the equity in the business, and be active in the day to day management of the business. Your personal net worth has to be at least $800,000, and you must submit proof that it was legally obtained. You need to be able to demonstrate you have the skills and experience necessary to operate a commercially viable business, that you have sufficient unencumbered personal funds to make the investment, and that you have a viable business proposal. You'll also be required to sign a Performance Agreement.
