Harold Burstein, MD, PhD, discusses several breast cancer research studies presented at the 2011 San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium that he thinks are noteworthy but are not likely to generate media coverage, including two aromatase inhibitor studies that found that some women who had chemo-induced menopause did not benefit from the treatment because they regained their menstrual cycle; several studies that looked at the sexual health of breast cancer patients; and a couple of studies that investigated drugs targeting new pathways.
