KNOW YOUR DEVIL "Better the devil you know", it is said. Indeed, the world is seemingly full of devils. Aristo, however, believes we need not be overwhelmed by devils, since there is really only one for each of us. That is the devil we should know, and it reflects and affects the world as well as riding the scars in our hearts and the gaps in our minds. It is the devil behind all the distortions, denials and destructive devisings in our lives. He talks about this devil, and perhaps is not all that specific because that is an evasive being. All in all, we live in a reality purposed toward its own brand of perfection: even though human conceptions of perfection tend to be themselves undergoing a rocky evolutionary path. The devil is a mystery. As much of a mystery as divine causality and essence. Aristo doesn't know if this devil needs redemption, but we can be sure that understanding the devil is in all our best interests.
