Lawmakers in North Carolina have enacted a law that makes North Carolina possibly the most bigoted state in America.  With their vote on Wednesday, businesses will now be allowed to discriminate against people based on their sexual preference and/or gender identity.  Furthermore, cities and counties are prevented from establishing non-discrimination laws that protect the LGBT community because that would go further than the statewide bill.  There is also a twist to this bill that the lawmakers slipped in.  Cities and counties are now banned from raising the minimum wage.
