Kanarie is an award-winning coming-of-age war musical about a small-town boy who gets chosen to serve his compulsory two-year military training in the South African Defence Force Choir and Concert group - known as the "Canaries" - during the height of the Apartheid regime. Co-writer and musical director of the film, Charl-Johan Lingenfelder, and cast member Germandt Geldenhuys, join Expresso to share more ahead of its screening at the 2018 Cape Town International Film Market & Festival.
