Friends of Andrew Kinsman held a news conference in July 2017 to raise awareness of his disappearance. Kinsman was described as a "generous, kind person". Bruce McArthur was charged with the murder of Kinsman and Selim Esen on January 18, 2018. Police continue to investigate McArthur and, as of January 29 2018, they have laid six charges of first degree murder in the deaths of Kinsman, 49; Esen, 44; Lisowick, 47; Majeed Kayhan, 59; Soroush Mahmudi, 50; and Skandaraj “Skanda” Navaratnam, 40.
