Award-winning cinematographer Jaron Presant's work spans both small screen and big screen. Crafting unique images for commercials and music videos as well as feature films, Jaron's attention to detail and passion for stunning visuals combined with his penchant for the peculiar, forge inviting imagery that is at once warm and striking. Those images have led him to collaborations with talent as varied as Prince, Carrie Underwood, Bruce Willis and Rachel Weisz. Since his introduction to photography when he was 13, a camera has always been close at hand. A chance encounter with a cinematographer during an internship initiated a career that has lasted for the rest of his life. Jaron's interest in imaging and fascination with the world has led him to adventures far from the beaten path. He has worked all over the world, from the modern metropolis to the untouched Amazon, and even did a stint jumping out of perfectly good aircraft as a skydiving cameraman. His philosophy towards photography has embodied that fascination: It is about flow, about being in sync with the world around us.

What is TEDx?
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.

At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x=independently organized TED event.

The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.*
