Sinn Féin MEP Martina Anderson has called for anyone wanting to attend the upcoming international anti-fracking conference in Fermanagh to register for the event. Ms Anderson said; "There is widespread feeling right across the Ireland that communities do not want fracking. "Fracking has already been banned in several countries and Sinn Féin has made it consistently clear that fracking should not be allowed anywhere in Ireland, north or south. "My party colleague Michelle Gildernew MP and I will be hosting an major international conference on fracking in Fermanagh on February 20 in the Lough Erne Resort to highlight this important issue. "The conference will hear from a panel of international speakers including speakers from Germany who have successfully campaigned against fracking and we will also have a live video link with the United States to hear about the American experience of fracking. "I am encouraging anyone interested in attending the conference to register now to ensure their place."
