This is not a tutorial, nor are there any instructions whatsoever in this video to synthesize acetone peroxide. Acetone peroxide, also known as TATP is a primary high explosive, which is one of the most accidentally made byproducts in both amateur and acedemic labs. This video is strictly a demonstration of how dangerous this compound is, and serves as a reminder to research all reactions prior to carrying out any experiments. I am an amateur chemist and I work on what I like to call micro-scale reactions. I understand how dangerous chemical compounds may be, thus working with low volume products mitigates dangerous byproducts to keep the home lab safe during the learning process. Stay legal and stay safe.
