Wright State to face offensive minded Santa Clara

DAYTON -- The Wright State men's basketball team will host Santa Clara in the CBI semifinals on Wednesday, March 27, at 9:00 Eastern at WSU's Nutter Center.The Raiders (23-12) advanced to the semifinals with a 57-51 win Monday over Richmond at the Nutter Center, which followed a 72-52 decision over Tulsa in the opening round last Wednesday. Santa Clara (23-11) moved on to the semifinals with an 86-83 win at Purdue Monday and opened tournament play with a 77-67 home win over Vermont last Tuesday.The winner of Wednesday's contest advances to the championship round against the winner of the other semifinal between Western Michigan and George Mason. The best of three series starts on Monday, April 1, with the second game on Wednesday, April 3, and the third game, if necessary, set for Friday, April 5.Wright State and Santa Clara have met twice before, with each team winning on its own home court.
