Thousands of dolphins spotted in the UK coast

A massive pod of dolphins have been spotted in the waters around the UK. The large group of the playful mammals was filmed off the Pembrokeshire coast in the Bristol Channel. Sea Trust volunteers, who snapped the footage, say it is the ‘most spectacular’ sighting of dolphins in 10 years, and claim their survey boat was surrounded by the dolphins for more than three hours last weekend. ‘Pod after pod kept coming,’ a spokesperson from the conservation group told the BBC. The Sea Trust also claimed the group could be classed as a ‘superpod’ due to its size, and that the sheer size of the pod made it hard to track. ‘Our conservative estimate was 1,000-plus animals but it was probably twice that as it was almost impossible to keep track of them,’ they said.
