Close To You...♡
written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David
first recorded by Richard Chamberlain
popularized by The Carpenters
cover by Ana Caram

Why do birds, suddenly appear
Every time you are near
Just like me, they long to be
Close to you

Why do stars, fall down from the sky
Every time you walk by
Just like me, they long to be
Close to you

On the day that you were born, the angels got together
And decided to create a dream come true
So they twinkled moon dust in your hair
Of golden starlight in your eyes are blue

That is why all the girls in town
Follow you all around
Just like me, they long to be
Close to you

Just like me, they long to be
Close to you

(Instrumental)

On the day that you were born, the angels got together
And decided to create a dream come true
So they twinkled moon dust in your hair
Of golden starlight in your eyes are blue

That is why all the girls in town
Follow you all around
Just like me, they long to be
Close to you

Just like me, they long to be
Close to you...

Love you always, my twin... - JC
