For the past 4 decades, Gunther Hauk has been researching, lecturing and educating on one of our most valuable resources—the honeybee!
 
As Executive Director & Head Apiarist of Spikenard Honeybee Sanctuary, Gunther works alongside a dedicated team of experts and educators in picturesque Floyd, Virginia. The non-profit consists of 25 acres, perfectly surrounded by pastures, forest and an adjacent organic farm. On 13 acres reside over 30 hives, an orchard, vegetable garden and fields of perennials and annual bee forage including buckwheat, mustard, phacelia, sunflowers and clover.
