One man seriously injured in shootout in Avondale

AVONDALE, Ohio (WKRC) - Two men were involved in a shootout in Avondale, seriously injuring one, on Saturday evening, according to Cincinnati Police.

Reports state that at around 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, a male subject exited a silver SUV and fired at another male subject in a maroon van. The subject in the maroon van returned fire, striking the other man multiple times. 

The man in the silver SUV was transported to University of Cincinnati Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, while the man in the maroon van left the scene and called 911 from the back lot of the Xavier Village Apartments on the campus of Xavier University. He is reported to be cooperating with the investigation.
