 TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - Numerous reports have come in from all over the city about a "boom," where the ground shook. 

We are still working to find out what the source of this was.

The U.S. Geological Survey shows seismic data registering in Tucson at the time most people say they felt the boom. See the chart here.

Spokesman with the Mount Lemmon SkyCenter Adam Block was outside in Midtown when he heard the boom. He says it is probably not a meteor because he did not see a light in the sky, which would be the main meteor determinant. His wife also reported hearing the boom far on the east side off of Speedway and Harrison.

Deputy Tom Peine with the Pima County Sheriff's Department says the cause is currently unknown but will notify KGUN9 if the department finds out what it was.

Capt. Barret Baker of the Tucson Fire Department says dispatchers have received more than 100 calls in regards to the boom.

Peine also said he has checked with numerous agencies, including local mines, Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Luke Air Force Base, the Pinal Army National Guard, Tucson International Airport, Southwest Gas, El Paso Gas and Tucson Electric Power and so far none have any information on what the source of the boom was.
