I ran to go get this crossing because I almost missed it, that's why I said I caught it. This crossing is a pretty cool crossing. The light rail is street running down R street. This is the SACRT Sacramento light rail gold line. The mast signals are for traffic heading in the same direction as the train. This street 28th street has two railroad crossings which is this one (the light rail one) and further up north from here to a freight train main line. The crossing I zoomed in on to the right is 29th street crossing. Heres the link for that crossing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JAoKK34dGqQ . The crossing I zoomed in to the left is 27th street crossing.

Crossing info: Two tracks street running, 4 signals, 2 gated, 2 mast signals gateless. One GS Type 1 E-Bell on my side. Other side is a GS Type 2 E-Bell. Bells shut off when gates start rising. Lights are Safetran 12" Fading LEDs, Safetran Brackets, Light holders, General Signals Gate Savers, Safetran Mechanisms, and Signal bases. WCH Gate LEDs, The 2 gateless mast signals have the no left turn signs on them.

Brief History: I did some research about this area. The area here where the light rail is going through use to be an Ex Southern Pacific and Western Pacific Railway line. The signals it had were wigwag signals. This was all before the light rail. Our light rail opened in 1987.

This is 28th street railroad crossings for the light rail. Further up north is the freight train crossing 28th street.
