Sanderlings gather in gregarious flocks on sandy beaches worldwide, and sprint along the edge of breaking waves as they search for food items in the wet sand. This medium-sized "peep" is recognized by its pale gray plumage and black legs. ML Video #433051. Video recorded by David O. Brown; audio recorded by Arthur A. Allen.
