Archbishop Desmond Tutu of South Africa is among the 16 people who received the highest civilian honor in the U.S. President Obama bestowed the anti-apartheid activist with the Presidential Medal of Freedom at the White House Wednesday. Archbishop Tutu led a visit to Sudan to discuss the situation in Darfur. He spoke of that visit and other issues involving the African continent in an interview with VOA's Mike Bowman.
