Space shuttle Atlantis completed its 10-mile journey to its new home at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex on Nov. 2, 2012. The shuttle, riding atop a specialized 76-wheel transporter, was moved from the Vehicle Assembly Building at Kennedy at 6:30 a.m. and carried on a route through the expansive space center before turning into the visitor complex where a 90,000-square foot exhibit hall is taking shape.
