On February 17 2016 the twitterer "Nice Mangoes" with the podcast "Polite Conversations" (I love the name, and it lived up to it's title...which is very refreshing), posted an interview herself and a co-host did with Canada's The Global Mail's John Semley, about his review of Hebdo's editor Charb's book, Open Letter.

Semley's review - http://www.theglobeandmail.com/arts/books-and-media/book-reviews/review-charlie-hebdo-editor-charbs-open-letter-is-problematic/article28050654/

Semley's review highlighted racism in Hebdo's work and described the book as "feeble", and yet emphasized he was not victim blaming the publication for their being massacred.

Here is my general reaction to the interview. I discuss this 'regressive' idea, freedom of speech, whether Charlie Hebdo is racist, my opinion on the interview, Sam Harris's and other's reactions, and my personal view on the best path to deal with radical Islam.

Thanks.
