It's not too often that we get an Antonov 124 at O'Hare! It happens anywhere from once to a handful of times a year. I woke up to a message last night that we'd be getting an Antonov 124 at ORD, and then got more details as the day went on. An Iberia A340-600 - EC-IZX - has a damaged engine , which either happened on her last trip ( IBE6275, MAD - ORD, Wed. 06.06.18 ), or somewhere on the ground at ORD, and the Antonov was chartered to bring in a replacement engine from Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport ( IATA : MAD / ICAO : LEMD ), where Iberia is based.

I hope you enjoy the video of the massive Antonov 124 landing on Runway 28-Center at Chicago - O'Hare International / Int'l Airport ( KORD / ORD ), then back-taxiing to its parking stand at the South East Cargo ramp. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't the greatest and I had to work, so I couldn't get a closer video. I was also hoping to get a photo of the Antonov with the Chicago skyline in the background, but that didn't happen either, sadly - again, because of the bad weather.
