Please see the "GEM Blog: GEM Unification Rescinded, Officially" video. This is a dramatic reading of the blog, "Can't Buy a Gauge Symmetry" by the Stand-Up Physicist, available at Science20.com. The blog has caused me to edit three titles to say in all caps: RETRACTION. Gauge symmetry is something a decent gravity proposal must have, and my work on hypercomplex gravity and unified GEM does not. Ouch. I explain how it works in EM, and how it fails to work with my own field theory efforts.
