Only the combination of great teachers, prepared students, excellent schools and increased literacy will make the difference. Giving more money to the government and teachers unions is like waiting for superman to show up. Michelle Rhee and Geoffrey Canada know this is a failing formula to fix education and so do I. If school teachers want to make more money they need be rewarded for being great teachers, delivering increased literacy, great education and prepared students... not just for being in the job longest.
