The northern Indian city of Ayodhya broke a Guinness World Record by simultaneously lighting more than 300,000 oil lamps for the Hindu festival Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights.The oil lamps were lit at the same time for more than five minutes, beating the previous record that was set in 2016 when a neighbouring state lit the half that number. .
